Meeting de Noël / Christmas Meeting

Petite annonce: Les articles seront à présent traduis :)
Articles will be now translated :)

It was during that cold first days of December that I had my first lolita meeting (I also went to an Angelic Party Halloween tea party but it didn't last long). First long afternoon only surrounded by lolitas ! Do you feel the pressure ?

First of all, I was late (which is not surprising with me). So I warned the 2 friends of mine who said they were going on the FB event. And how big was my anxiety when they actually told me they weren't going... I was about to go on a meeting, on my own... double ouch...

Tough the huge crowd on Champs Elysées avenue, I easily managed to find the group, waiting near the metro station entrance (but let's be honest, it was pretty easy, you don't see lolitas on every street you walk in). The atmosphere was shy, the introductions pretty short. Everyone was still on reserved which was totally normal as no one was actually knowing each other well...

------

We decided to have a walk near to the Christmas Parisian Market in Champs Elysées... which was unfortunately pretty unpleasant to me. As I am a little bit agoraphobiac**, I was becoming more and more nervous and wishing really hard to go away from the crowd.
*(Depends on the crowd as in some situations it does not affect me such as with audience from some gigs...)
*(You'll realise soon that I have few phobias to deal with...)
------

Imagine how releaved I was when Elarod (the host) confessed me that she wasn't feeling at ease with all those people !
So we decided to find a people less crowed in the market, such as a little "zoo" with fake mechanics animals (If I right)... pretty cute, but a little bit cheap... but still cute anyway

"Jingle bells... jingle bells..."

As I was trying to calm my fears and anxieties, a small music was playing on loop in that small place... you know... this music that you can't get rid off you head just after fews notes...
The one you hear on every single shops on Christmas times...

"Jingle bells... jingle bells..."

You're going to tell me "Oh c'mon, a song ain't gonna ruin your afternoon honey" ! Yes you're right ! But the problem was that when I heard "Jingle Bells" for the first time in this afternoon, I immediatly  associated it to joke from a french youtuber who screamed in one a of his videos *trigger warning ! Vulgarity* "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells... Buch of Bast*rds !!!!"
(The joke is pretty difficult to explain in english... actually every single joke is less funny when you explain it haha)

And how big then was the nervous laugh I was trying to hide... I summarize again the situation. I'm at my first lolita meeting. I know nobody yet and I don't know if lolitas around me are just style lovers of lifestylers. And if they are lifestylers, vulgarity and lolita do not mach at all !
The problem is that vulgarity and me... actually is a match much better that any of your tinder meets !

And mix all of this with my fear of crowd + my old social anxiety friend and pouf ! There goes the nervous laugh.

At the end, I kept my own joke for myself as we last minute planned to have a little shooting...

That gal who though wearing a black tights with a saxe skirt was a good idea !

After our small walk, we finally stopped by at Tuileries garden just so people who participated in the "swap" could give their gift, and also to find a more beautiful place for a nicer photoshoot.
As I was walking away with Tracy to find a good spot, a new little fear came to my mind.
I was the only one with a camera... and so I became the "photograph" of the event... oh lord... I've never asked for this !

But in the end, it ended it up well (Pictures takes will be in another article). I never stopped telling people that "I wasn't a pro", so the disappointment weren't that big for from.

Fact: I was wearing a coat which wasn't fitting at all with the coord (I don't have any lolita coats, so for the shootings, I had to put it off and I was freezing so bad !)

Our meeting continued its way to Anglic Pretty shop, were other lolitas joined us. I could finally put an end with those black tights as I bought cutties high white socks which were much more matching with my coord.
And there we went again with a third and last shooting near "Grand Palais", on *special parisan early sunset blues hues*...

Admit it... it looks much better with white socks ^^
Apart from this. I'm totally in love with the Harlequinade print. I love how even if it's sweet, it remains sober as the saxes colors remains similars

The meeting ended with a improvised "tea time" at LaDurée (we surprisingly didn't waited a lot). I kind of scared myself a little bit (again) as because of the cold and the hunger, I felt a bit dizzy while we waited on the queue.

At the end everything went wonderful. Thousand of thanks to Elarod to have organised everything <3
